The University of Western Macedonia IEEE Student Branch is the first branch established in the region of Western Macedonia in 2010 and the sixth in Greece. Its main objective is to enhance students' technological skills and abilities through various activities such as competitions, conferences and exhibitions.

The ASPiRE (Aerospace Research Engineering) team was established in October 2017 by a group of University of Western Macedonia students sharing common interests in aerospace applications, as well as their willingness to explore and learn about strange and distant places.

The University of Western Macedonia Hyperion Robotics team was founded in 2014, with the aim of research and participation in global Robotics competitions.

Created in 2017 the SPINNING TOP STUDIOS ,Game Development team is here to turn your ideas into successful digital games.

The University of Western Macedonia Security & Hacking team aims to acquire the knowledge, experience and skills needed to deal with contemporary security threats,as well as developing team spirit.

Perseus Racing is the Formula Student team of UOWM. Since the construction of three combustion formula race cars, the team is now headed towards designing and constructing its first electric formula race car to compete in the European Formula Student competitions.
